Liverpool suffered their first defeat after being unbeaten in 44 Premier League games as they lost 3-0 in an away game against Watford on Saturday, February 29.
While the Reds suffered a defeat, Manchester City celebrated 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, March 1st.
After the game, City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko was asked about the Reds defeat.
Zinchenko said: “I was busy. I didn’t watch the game. I just saw the result.
“We are not focused on that. Everyone was surprised but we are focused on our games. They are so far away from us on paper. But we have to show our class after our performance in every single game and then at the end of the season we are going to speak about if it was a good season for us or if it was successful or not.
“We are still fighting for another title and we have to do our job. We have to do our best and then we will see.
“We have the Champions League and the FA Cup as well. We are going to fight for these titles and see what happens.
“Everyone is focused on the game, which is the next one and that is it. We don’t have to think too much about. It is just about performances.”
