Virgil van Dijk hits back at Piers Morgan comments over Ballon D'Or jibe

Virgil van Dijk has responded to Piers Morgan over a joke about Cristiano Ronaldo. Liverpool defender joked on Ronaldo when asked if Portuguese was an opponent for him for Ballon d’Or 2019. When asked on how it feels not having one of his rivals at the ceremony, Van Dijk responded: “Was he a rival then?” And TV personality Piers Morgan took to Twitter and wrote: "No.. Cristiano Ronaldo is a far greater player, you’re not in his league."
