Tottenham have announced about signing a new, 8-year contract with AIA, the largest life insurance group in the world, that is the shirt sponsor of the Spurs. It has been earlier suggested that North London side have reached agreement for a contract extension until 2022 and will earn £35 m for a season. However, as suggested by Football London, the figure is more than £40 m, close to £44 m/season, which means Spurs will earn incredible £352 m during the next 8 years. With this deal Tottenham are reaching to other tops of Premier League. Daniel Levy, Spurs chairman said earlier: "AIA and I have discussed all sorts of possibilities and at the present time we’ve decided to focus only on the shirt sponsorship," The main reasons for improved deal are the latest successes of the club, that reached the Champions League final last season, for the first time in their history.
