Toby Alderweireld hopes to join Manchester United before transfer deadline day

Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld is hoping to join Manchester United. Mourinho has been in discussions over Barcelona’s Yerry Mina and Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, however their transfer fees are high for United. Leicester are demanding £75 million for Harry Maguire, while Barcelona want £35m for Mina. So now United will look elsewhere. Spurs have offered Alderweireld a new contract but the 29-year-old has failed to reach an agreement. According to HLN, Alderweireld is desperate to join Manchester United. Should the deal is done, the Tottenham player will play alongside his Belgium teammates Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini.
