Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided an injury update on Mason Mount after the youngster suffered an injury scare during the 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday. Mount started from the first minutes, however, he was replaced at the 76th minute as Tammy Abraham came to replace him.

The Blues will face Real Madrid for their Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday, May 5th.

“I hope really that Mason [Mount] is not a big thing and hopefully he can fully recover for Real Madrid,” Tuchel said.

“I saw him landing hard. We wanted to take him off if we had the chance and then I saw he was touching his back a little bit.

“So we didn’t want to take any risks but I have no other information right now so I think he should be absolutely fine.”
