REVEALED: How much Barcelona still owe Liverpool for Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool and Coutinho parted ways in January after Barcelona failed to sign him during summer transfer window. Catalan club payed £106 million up front for the midfielder but included some variable clauses in the deal, writes Mirror. Liverpool also reportedly ensured a secret agreement with Barcelona over the future sale of players, preventing the La Liga club from signing any Liverpool players for the next three years. Barcelona owe £36 million, although there is no guarantee they will ever have to stump up the full amount. The money isn't to be paid in one go. Catalan giants agreed to pay £17 million after Coutinho represents Barcelona 100 times. That money has to be paid in four installments of £4.4million every time the midfielder hits a 25-match milestone for Barcelona. Currently Coutinho has represented Barcelona 29 times, meaning Liverpool have received the first part of the payment. Liverpool has also recieved £4.4million  when Barcelona qualified for the Champions League in Coutinho's first season. The Reds will receive the same amount of money this year, too, if Barcelona does the same, which is highly likely and as well as when Barcelona wins the competition.
