REVEALED: Barcelona can't sign any Liverpool player until 2021

Phillippe Coutinho signed for Barcelona on 6 January 2018. Barcelona shelled out 160 million euros for the Brazilian, who signed the deal until 2023, with a  400 million buy-out clause. According to the Mirror, Coutinho hoped to quit Anfield in the summer of 2017 but Liverpool dug their heels in and refused to let him go. Spanish Radio Station Cadena Ser claims, Barcelona agreed not to sign any Liverpool player, unless the Anfield side are in agreement with the move, for a total of three seasons as part of the transfer of Coutinho. The Reds were insistent on the clause, of which one season has now passed, meaning Barcelona cannot sign Liverpool players for another two seasons. It remains to be seen if Barca do move for any of Jurgen Klopp’s squad before the alleged agreement ended.
