Reports, Tottenham ‘in talks’ with Real Madrid star over a sensational January move
Tottenham are eyeing a January move for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, Marca understands.
Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of Spanish player. Argentine coach identifies Asensio as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen, who could leave the club as he demands more wage and new contract. Pochettino loves Asensio for his playmaker abilities and wants to see him in North London, as club has started talks over the potential move.
It is also reported, that Tottenham had approached to Asensio earlier, and got rejected, as the player claimed he wanted to stay in Real Madrid for a long period.
Asensio, 22, has won two Champions League titles since joining Los Blancos in summer of 2016. He has scored 28 goals in 125 matches.
