Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane will miss his side’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Chelsea on Wednesday due to an injury. Madrid will face the Blues for the second leg as the first leg between the clubs ended in a 1-1 draw.

Ahead of the game, Madrid have confirmed that Varane will miss the game as he is suffering from an abductor injury.

“After the tests carried out today on our player by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he was diagnosed with an injury to the right abductor muscles,” a club statement read.
