Real Madrid face fresh obstacle in transfer chase for Paul Pogba

Manchester United star Paul Pogba’s salary demands could be an issue in Real Madrid move. Real Madrid are set to go on a massive spending spree this summer and boss Zinedine Zidane is keen to make Pogba one of his new additions. Pogba will not come cheap, but money may be no object to Real who are believed to have around £430m to spend in the close season. However, according to AS, Pogba’s potential move to Spain could be scuppered by the player’s wage demands. Pogba currently earns a net salary of 17 million euro per year at Manchester United and if Los Galacticos were to match this sum, Pogba will be in the top of the highest earners at the La Liga ahead of Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos. The World Cup winner would be unwilling to take a pay cut, which could cause problems with a potential summer transfer.
