Manchester United to offer technical director post to Mike Phelan

Manchester United are ready to offer technical director post to assistant manager Mike Phelan, according to Daily Mail. The Club hierarchy have been in discussions with Phelan since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed as a full-time manager at the end of last month. Phelan, who is a highly respected figure at Carrington, still wants to retain an influence on match days and has been a great support for the Norwegian. Michael Carrick will replace Phelan as an assistant manager when the 56-year-old will take the responsibilities of a technical director.
