Former star Luka Modric named as a candidate for Daniel Levy's interest. Modric was tipped with a return to Spurs by former boss Harry Redknapp. The player looks set to leave Real Madrid at the end of this season as things stand – with the Croatian’s contract expiring in 2021. The playmaker was a mainstay under Redknapp during the early years of the 2010s. Millar has claimed that Tottenham could open talks with Modric in January, especially with the Galacticos yet to renew his current deal. Described as a ‘player that Tottenham need‘ by Redknapp, Levy could indeed seal a return for the ‘genius‘ in January due to his contract situation, but only time will tell whether this move comes to fruition.
