Mohamed Salah outlines Liverpool ambitions after receiving numerous personal awards

Mohamed Salah has admitted that it the right time to help Liverpool lift trophies after having his own collection of personal awards. The Egyptian  scored 44 goals in his debut campaign at Anfield last season and that helped him to be awarded the Premier League’s Golden Boot as well as the PFA Player of the Year and the Football Writers’ Footballer of the Year trophies. However, despite all these achievement Liverpool ended their Champions League campaign with empty hands as they lost to Real Madrid in the final. “What I have achieved with Liverpool is something great, when I look back,” Salah told BBC Sport. “When I came here at the beginning, I had a dream and things in my mind I wanted to achieve. “We were very close to one of them but we lost in the final. But I think we are on the way and I am happy about what we are doing. “To motivate myself, the team comes first – we need to win titles and we need to achieve something together. That’s something that always motivates me. “Last season we were very close but in the end we didn’t win anything. “That’s something that motivates me much more than individual awards. “I want to win something for the club because I love the club. I want to win something here.” Salah scored his 50th goal for the Reds in last month’s 4-0 Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade in what was his 65th appearance for the club.
