Top 3 clubs who want to sign Aaron Ramsdale

Ever since the arrival of David Raya at the Emirates Stadium, there have been speculations about him replacing Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper. Fast forward to November, we can see that Raya is starting in more games than Ramsdale and this has raised some concerns over the England international's stay at Arsenal.

Although Arteta initially stated his intention to alternate between his two goalkeepers, Raya has been the starting goalkeeper in all six Premier League matches, while Ramsdale started in Arsenal's clash in Carabao Cup where the Gunners where defeated 3-1 by West Ham United.

“Because it’s one of the first times it’s happened with the situation, it has been difficult,” said the England international with regard to the attention on his reactions on the bench. “There are times where you’re doing the right thing but it’s the wrong thing and if you don’t do it, it’s the wrong thing. So it’s a double-edged sword."

While it seems that the 25-year-old is not keen on a move away from the Emirates, there are already several teams who are seen to be interested in securing Ramsdale's services at the nearest possibility.

In addition, according to The Telegraph, Mikel Arteta's side have been monitoring the Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte as a potential replacement to Ramsdale at the Emirates Stadium. However, fresh reports indicate that interest around Ramsdale's potential move "cools down" as his asking price is going to be at least £30m.

The top three clubs that want to sign Aaron Ramsdale ahead of the upcoming transfer window are the following:

Newcastle United

Newcastle United have reportedly revived their interest in signing Ramsdale.  As per talkSPORT, Eddie Howe, who has previously coached the England international, has joined Pochettino in keeping Ramsdale under their radar this January. Fresh rumors indicate that keeper has agreed to a move to Newcastle United.

While both prospective clubs have substantial financial resources, Arsenal's asking price for their shot-stopper is rumored to be as high as £50 million, which could prove challenging to meet under the current circumstances.

The Magpies' interest in the Gunners' keeper comes alongside the injury of their primary goalie Nick Pope.

Bayern Munich

And finally, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are seen to keep a close eye on Ramsdale's situation at the Emirates Stadium.

Thomas Tuchel's side are actively in search of a future successor for Manuel Neuer, as Sven Ulreich has not proven himself as a standout in the same role.

However, Arteta's remarks regarding his perspective on the goalkeeper position imply that potential interest in Ramsdale in January may not be met with great enthusiasm. It will be intriguing to observe how Arsenal react if they receive offers for the 25-year-old exceeding £60 million in the next summer transfer window.

Chelsea

As per CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, Mauricio Pochettino's side can propose a surprise deal to Arsenal for Ramsdale in the January transfer window.

However, the two London clubs' rivalry and Chelsea's absence from the Champions League and their struggling form can demotivate Ramsdale to make the move. In addition, latest reports suggest that the Blues have withdrawn interest in Ramsdale's pursuit.

Due to Chelsea's newcomer goalkeeper Robert Sanchez's knee injury, which will have him sidelined for some time, the Blues are plotting a move for Ramsdale. The English player has attracted considerable interest from various clubs, and Chelsea seems prepared to initiate a strong pursuit.
