Newcastle United have reportedly joined Chelsea in keeping their tabs open on Aaron Ramsdale.
This interest comes hand in hand with the England international's diminishing appearances for the Gunners. After signing David Raya in summer, Mikel Arteta has made him the first-choice goalkeeper, creating competition between the two shot-stoppers for game time.
As per talkSPORT, Mauricio Pochettino's side are interested in pursuing Ramsdale ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The same source also reports about the Magpies' interest in Arsenal's keeper. The 25-year-old has previously played under Eddie Howe.
Meanwhile, Ramsdale has performed well at the Emirates upon his arrival. Last season, when Arsenal were so close to clenching the Premier League title, there goalkeeper was one of the contributors to this success.
Even though both interested clubs are not short of finances, it is believed that Arsenal might want as much as £50million for Ramsdale, which will not be easy to meet in the given circumstances.
