ESPN: Top - 10 worst transfers in the Premier League history
ESPN has published their ranking of 50 Premier League worst signing in history of the tournament. Ali Dia’s move from Blyth Spartans to Southampton in 1996 leads the ranking. Senegalese international’s transfer was ridiculous, because back then Saints representatives believed he was legendary Liberian forward George Weah’s cousin. It eventually came out that Dia didn’t fit the Premier League level and he played only once for the Saints.
