Cristiano Ronaldo sent warning by Ajax star ahead of Euro showdown

Ajax victory over Real Madrid has been the story of the Champions League so far this season and now the Dutch club have another challenge to overcome. Nicolas Tagliafico has been a major part of Ajax’s remarkable journey to the quarter-finals, but they will go to Turin with the same belief. In an exclusive interview with The Morror, the Argentine has sent a warning to Cristiano Ronalo. The Argentine said: “We will have the same determination that we had against Real Madrid, this time against Juventus . We know it’s really tough, they are a great team and, on top of that, they have great players like Cristiano Ronaldo . “With our tools, now well-known by everybody, we can play without fear again to get another big result against Juventus. “We are fearless. We went to Madrid determined to enjoy ourselves. It was our best game we’ve played this year. It was perfect. The first game was almost perfect even though the result was not good but the second game was amazing. Just amazing. “Now, against Juventus, we need another perfect game, but why not? I think it was one of the best moments in the last decades for Ajax. “We have to make the most of it, enjoy it because I believe we can carry on making history.” Ajax smashed Gareth Bale and Madrid 4-1 in the Bernabeu with Dusan Tadic the star of the show, they had two thrilling group matches with Bayern Munich and their biggest star, Frenkie de Jong, is due to sign for Barcelona this summer. “You have to dream,” said Tagliafico. “We’re in the quarter-finals for a reason. You can see it will be very, very difficult. “But you have a chance, even a very small chance and you have to have faith. It’s what I said about the Bernabeu and look what happened! “Ajax have built a good team and with this philosophy any player can come in and join, have a good game and impress. Now we have a good team. “In Madrid, we played like we were at home, we approach every game the same. “That’s what I like the most. We played against Madrid the same, both in Amsterdam and in the Bernabeu. We play with aggression and try to play with possession and pressure. “We are in three competitions at the moment. We are actually enjoying this beautiful moment.” Ronaldo sat out Juve’s win over AC Milan on Saturday as he continues his rehabilitation from the thigh injury he picked up while on national team duty with Portugal at the end of March. But Juventus head coach Allegri said after the Serie A win on Saturday that he was “confident” of his star forward being available for selection for the crunch midweek game. In Ajax, Juve will be facing a young, dynamic team who dumped out holders Real Madrid in a huge shock in their last 16 clash.
