Documentary reveals what Levy told Eriksen when player asked to leave

Tottenham's Amazon documentary series- "All Or Nothing"- has revealed what club chairman Daniel Levy told Christian Eriksen, when the latter asked to leave. The 28-year-old, who had just six months left on his contract in North London, left to join the Nerazziro for a reported fee of £17million (€20m) back in January. The documentary reveals that the former Ajax man was keen on having a new adventure in Italy after hearing of Inter Milan’s interest and had a meeting regarding his desire with Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy. In the meeting, the Spurs chairman says: “I said to Jose, and I just want to make this clear now, from Tottenham’s viewpoint I’ve always been consistent here, we don’t want you to go. “From a financial viewpoint, I’ve always said to you whatever another club is offering we’d do exactly the same, so there can be no doubt in your mind that your reason for leaving isn’t a financial one.” Eriksen responds by insisting that it never was and Levy then reportedly tells him that the club will be willing to let him go for €20m.
