Chelsea urged to make Philippe Coutinho transfer decision because of one player
ESPN FC pundit Alejandro Moreno claims, Chelsea must decide against signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona because he is not a significant upgrade on Willian.
Chelsea are one of several clubs interested in signing Coutinho, as his future at Barca is in serious doubt.
Coutinho has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich.
Moreno says, from what he has seen of Coutinho this season, he would not be a worthwhile signing for Chelsea because he is no better than Blues star Willian.
"From what we have seen from Coutinho lately, how is he a significant improvement to, say, Willian, who's right there [at Chelsea]?" Moreno said. "So if you want to look at the impact Coutinho may have on your team, just look at what Willian is doing right now, and is that good enough? Is that what you're looking for? Is that going to improve your team significantly? I don't think so."
