Arsenal will have to fight off Real Madrid if they want to land Espanyol star Mario Hermoso.
The 23-year-old, who joined Espanyol from Real Madrid in 2017, has received his first call-up to the Spain squad.
Real Madrid are interested in luring him back to Madrid and they can re-sign Hermoso for just £6.5million as per the terms of his move to Espanyol, according to Marca.
However, Arsenal are also keen on to sign Hermoso. They have scouted the defender extensively and could be about to launch a bid of their own.
Should Madrid stump up the required money and Arsenal have a bid accepted, it would then come down to the player to decide who he wants to join.
