Yeni Asir: Jurgen Klopp interested in 31-year-old Besiktas ace
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Besiktas ace Domagoj Vida, according to Turkish publication Yeni Asir. The German views the Croat as a short -term addition.
Klopp's decision to sign the veteran stopper may come as surprise to the Reds fans, but it's not the first time that he makes such a decision. In 2016, Klopp signed 30-year-old Ragnar Klavan.
The Besiktas stopper is playing the best football of his career right now. An old-school centre-back loves throwing his body on the line and he was one of the best players at the 2018 World Cup as Croatia reached the final.
Speaking to Ajansspor two years ago, Vida’s agent, Ugur Avadan, claimed that Liverpool had made an offer for his client. Two years on, Liverpool resumed their interest.
