West Ham United captain had his say after Liverpool draw

West Ham United captain Mark Noble says Liverpool are one of the best teams. Hammers conceded a controversial goal from Sadio Mane but managed to equalize due to Michael Antonio goal. Manuel Pellegrini's side has sometimes been closer to score winning goal, but they were not lucky enough to become the second team in EPl to beat leaders. Noble, however, describes their performance as 'really well'. "Listen, you can’t go up against Liverpool man for man and try out pass them, it isn’t going to work," he said, speaking to Sky Sports (via Football London). "They press so well and they’ve got better players than us all across the park. You have to defend really well. You have to keep your shape, you have to stop them where they penetrate so well in midfield. Me, Dec [Declan Rice], Snods [Robert Snodgrass], we worked all week on that and the two wide players coming in, as well as that we scared them and you’ve got to do that against the top teams. "In the first half we had two or three counters where we scared them. I’m just gutted we didn’t come away with three points. "We know they want to play through the middle, we know they’ve got fantastic players they play one-twos, around the corner and we just kept it so tight. We knew if we did that with the players we’ve got on the wing with Michail [Antonio], Chica [Javier Hernandez], Felipe [Anderson] that we can counter and that’s what we did. "We’re gutted in there because the goal is about a metre offside and the linesman is over that side. I know it’s difficult for the officials but that’s clearly offside. It’s hard enough keeping the goals out against Liverpool but when they’re offside it is disappointing. "We score a fantastic set play, a well worked set play, and we didn’t manage to get the second goal. All in all they’re probably the best team in the league and we played really well today."
