That is despite the fact that he was included in the 25-man Champions League squad for the coming season. It was a remarkable show of backing for Vinicius, who could have been left off the list but still played in the competition due to his young age. However, the fact Vinicius has gone from playing for Flamengo in front of 80,000 fans at the Maracana to featuring in front of barely 1,000 in the Spanish lower tiers has worried Real bosses. According to Marca, they are now considering sending Vinicius back to Flamengo in January, as they feel playing top-flight football in front of monster crowds would be more beneficial for his development.
