"Unsung hero" - Pundit claims Tottenham star who 'brings so much' gone unnoticed under Mourinho

Noel Whelan has hinted Tottenham star Son Heung-min has gone unnoticed under Jose Mourinho and is their 'unsung hero' out wide. Son is now being awarded with a new deal for his performances. “He’s been one of their standout performers for the past three or four years. He deserves it, no doubt about that, he’s an exceptional talent,” Whelan said to Football Insider. “He’s one player that always brings that consistency to Tottenham with his level of performances, not only assists but goals as well – he’s one of their star players at the club. “We talk about Dele Alli, he’s probably on more money than Son. Does he deserve it? Not really when you think about the consistency Son has put in wearing a Tottenham shirt and the level of performances. He’s got everything you would want from a wide man – energy, tricks, skill, vision, weight of pass, a threat in the box, he can do things by himself. He’s kind of a little bit unsung there, an unsung hero. “He brings so much to Tottenham and to Harry Kane, he relieves the pressure, he’s a threat and everything seems to go through Son and Kane.”
