Troy Deeney has included Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez in his list of top five Premier League strikers.
Mexican forward has already scored four goals this season, including a stunner in Wolves’ 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on Sunday, to follow up his 27-goal haul previous season.
One of Jimenez's goals arrived at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final between Wolves and Watford in 2019, which the Hornets eventually won 3-2 after extra-time.
Jimenez produced his iconic mask celebration and Deeney, who equalised for Watford from the penalty spot in stoppage time, took exception to it and attacked the Wolves man in his post-match interview.
Deeney said:
“I’m glad he put that mask on – he could wear it out now as well, now he’s a loser. So, enjoy the mask – we got the victory.
“He’s a very good player. His work-rate across the front is remarkable. He doesn’t give defenders a moment’s peace. He can link play. I think he’s got the ability to grow and be a much better all-round player.”
