Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny’s future is in doubt as the defender enters the final season of his contract at the Emirates.
The 34-year-old has been a target for Bordeaux and Rennes as well as Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal would be prepared to keep Koscielny at the club but they will also make drastic changes in defense. The Gunners conceded 12 Premier League goals than Chelsea and Tottenham last season and missed out on a top four finish.
Arsenal have seven central options on the books for next summer and would want to move out two before they make an addition.
Chambers has a contract until 2022 and is among the relatively few players in Emery's squad who Arsenal would be willing to part with and whose sale would significantly improve their £45m transfer budget.
