Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen criticized for his performance against Liverpool

Gary Neville has criticized Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen for the Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool. Harry Kane opened the score in the first minute of the game but Jordan Henderson of Liverpool equalized the score and due to Serge Aurier’s fault the Reds were given a penalty which was perfectly shot by Mohamed Salah. Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “I thought Eriksen was really poor. He looked disinterested. He wanted to leave (in the summer), he wanted to go to a club and he didn’t get what he wanted. They (the full-backs) struggled. I don’t think they were helped by the narrowness. Eriksen and Son in those wide areas. Son did it a little bit, a lot better than Eriksen. Eriksen didn’t want to be there. It opened up the pass all the way. They were just exposed.” After Sunday’s loss Spurs dropped to the 11th place in the Premier League table with 12 points in total while Liverpool continue to lead the standings with 28 points.
