Tottenham youngster to make Ireland team debut

Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott is set to make his national team debut with the Republic of Ireland against New Zealand on Thursday. The 17-year-old youngster has earned his spot at the national team after scoring three times for Ireland’s Under-21s in September. Parrott has also impressed while in the squad for Tottenham in pre-season matches against Juventus and Manchester United. He made his Spurs debut in the Carabao Cup game against Colchester. Alongside Parrott, Lee O’Connor of Celtic and Shamrock Rovers’ Jack Byrne will also start against New Zealand. Source- Standard
