Tottenham to move for versatile Ajax defender after failed January bid

Tottenham are reportedly ready to renew their interest in Edson Alvarez this summer, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. The 22-year-old joined Ajax in the summer from Club America after being linked with clubs all over Europe. Alvarez has made 12 appearances for Ajax this season but according to the report, he is unhappy about a lack of game time. The report adds that Spurs and LA Galaxy both made approaches for Alverez in January but that although Ten Hag and Ajax director of football Marc Overmars blocked a move.
