Tottenham Hotspur fear their chances of signing Boca Junior midfielder Wilmar Barrios could be hit after Real Madrid entered the race for the Colombian, according to the Daily Star.
Spurs remain keen on bringing in the 25-year-old, but will not enter a bidding war with the Spanish giants.
Tottenham are keen to trigger the £16million release clause present in his contract with the Argentine side.
However, the Star’s report states that Madrid are already lining up a £20million offer for the player.
