Tottenham star leaps to the defence of Christian Eriksen

Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier has leapt to the defence of Christian Eriksen, as the Danish  was mocked by some Spurs fans when he substituted in the 1-0 defeat against Liverpool. The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from North London, as his contract will expire in the end of current season. Inter Milan reportedly want to sign the Denmark International, however, Jose Mourinho has so far denied that the two clubs are close to an agreement for the midfielder. Eriksen has been in a dismal form in the past few months, and fans accused the 27-year-old of not caring enough. But his teammate Eric Dier has come to his defence insisting that Eriksen’s heart has always been in the right place. “There is nothing negative you could say about Christian," he said. “I have been here almost as long as he has and he has always handled himself in the best way. “He has always been one of the most professional players I have known and one of the best players at Tottenham on the most consistent basis. “When you look, he has probably played the most games in that period … whatever he has done, he has done with the best intentions. So he does not deserve that from anyone.” Source- Spurs-Web
