Tottenham respond to Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger's comments about racism investigation

Tottenham Hotspur have responded to Antonio Rudiger's latest comments surrounding the investigation into alleged racism during the match against Chelsea in December. During Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the German alleged that he was the subject of monkey chants from some home supporters. Rudiger has admitted the alleged racist abuse incident at Tottenham Hotspur in December left him feeling alone and disappointed. Tottenham have now responded to Rudiger's comments. "The club should like to reiterate that we fully support the action that Antonio Rudiger took in this situation and we would encourage any player to do the same if they too are faced with this scenario in the future," said a club spokesman. "An exhaustive investigation was undertaken with the Metropolitan Police at the time following the player's allegation and we remain open to revisiting this should any new information come to light."
