Chelsea face a fresh injury blow after Tammy Abraham limped off during the team’s warm down following their loss to Bayern Munich.
Abraham came off the bench with an hour gone, but his side eventually went on to lose 3-0.
The forward could've grabbed himself a goal to give Chelsea a glimmer of hope ahead of the return leg at the Allianz Arena, but he failed to anticipate a square ball that would've presented him with a tap in.
Former Blue Joe Cole said after the game that the club's failure to sign a striker in January cost them on Tuesday night and could also cost them long-term.
"Knowing this game was on the horizon Frank would've been desperate to get players in the door," he said on BT Sport. "He's asked Giroud who done brilliant for him at the weekend, but who has not been fit and is a 32-year-old striker, to come and lead your line against one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. He just looked like he ran out of steam - not recruiting has affected the performance and the team."
