Tottenham players that might miss upcoming Premier League clash v Manchester City

Manchester City return to Premier League action this weekend when they visit Jose Mourinho's Tottenham in north London. After a draw against Liverpool last time out, Pep Guardiola's side are looking to return to winning ways at the start of a four-month stint without the distraction of international football. Spurs currently sit second in the table, behind only Leicester City, and only Chelsea have scored more goals in the Premier League so far this season. But, Mourinho will be without some important players for the clash - among them Matt Doherty, who returned a positive COVID-19 test during the international break. Erik Lamela is also likely to remain on the sidelines with a minor foot injury as, while he is continuing his recovery, Saturday's match is likely to be too early for the Argentine. Steven Bergwijn's availability is also up in the air after he returned from international duty with the Netherlands prematurely, having been deemed to not be fit enough. Gareth Bale should be available after featuring for Wales during the international break, though he has spoken of his concerns about playing against players who later tested positive for coronavirus.
