Zakaria has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga in recent years, leading his side to the Champions League qualification last season. During his three-year spell, he has made 100 appearances, while he has not featured this season due to injury. However, a number of clubs keep their eyes on the 23-year-old . According to Sky Sport Germany, the player will be open to a move away from Gladbach, while Calciomercato claims Manchester City and Bayern are the main contenders to reach the transfer. Zakaria's current deal expires in 2022. He decided to turn down the chance to sign a new one with Gladbach.
