Tottenham injury blow as Gareth Bale not set to be fully fit for two months

Tottenham have received an injury blow as Gareth Bale is not set to return to full fitness until late November. The Wales international has resigned for the North London club seven years after leaving the Lilywhites for joining Real Madrid. However, he has made a loan move back to Spurs with a knee injury that is set to keep him out of the game for two months. According to AS, Bale will now spend time recovering from the injury, while he could come back from October 17, with Premier League games scheduled against West Ham, Burnley and Brighton. However, the aim is to see the 31-year-old fit till the end of November, with Spurs facing Manchester City before the matches of Chelsea and Arsenal. “I don’t know when Gareth can be back," Mourinho said. “The only thing that I know is that the motivation is high, he is so happy to be with a club of his heart, he is so happy to play for us. “When a player has this motivation, many, many times you can shorten the period of recovering and shorten the period of getting fit and ready to play and we want to help him. “So when he is available to train with the team, we are more than happy to have him and to be back to a level that may be one of the best players in the world.”
