Tottenham in pole position for signing former Premier League star

Tottenham are in pole position to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to Sky Sports. The 28-year-old has struggled with Catalan giants, since leaving his former side, Liverpool, in the summer of 2019. He has spent the 2019/20 season at Bayern Munich on loan, while his contract with Barcelona expires in 2023. However, Quique Setien's side are ready to sell him this summer, with the player being linked with the return to the Premier League. Amid the transfer interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, Spurs are reported to be in pole position for bringing the Brazil international to North London.
