Tottenham fans urged to give Jose Mourinho time

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson is confident that Jose Mourinho will deliver trophies in if he is given time. Spurs' form significantly improved after the restart as they lost just once in their final nine matches of the campaign and managed to sneak into sixth place. Which ensured that the North London side booked a place in next season’s Europa League, a competition that Mourinho has already declared that he wants to win. Dawson was part of the last Spurs team to win a major trophy (2008 Carling Cup) and he believes that the Portuguese coach is the right man to bring silverware to the club. When asked about the team’s recent struggles, the centre-back told the Last Word On Spurs podcast: “Yes it’s been a backwards step over the last 12 months. However, give Jose time. “His record speaks for itself, he will win trophies. He’s won trophies wherever he’s been sometimes its in a different way and different to the free-flowing that Mauricio [Pochettino] had. Look they’ve got some unbelievable players.” Source- Spurs-Web
