Manchester City are heavily linked with a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, as they have prepared a bid of €150m for him.
Kane wants to add major silverware to his growing list of personal accolades, in which reigning Premier League champions could help him.
And according to former Tottenham and France star David Ginola, there is nothing Spurs chairman Daniel Levy can do about Kane's future if the striker has made his mind up about where he wants to play his football.
"If Harry Kane has made his mind up about leaving Spurs then there’s nothing you can do about that because the pressure is on the club, on him and the players," Ginola said to talkSPORT.
"This is a problem. You are starting the season and you always want to start the season on the good foot. I think the situation about Kane and Tottenham, it’s about the entire club. And a question of respect as well.
"Tottenham is a huge club now. For Harry Kane, does he want to stay at Spurs and make them great?
"For Daniel Levy, it’s a huge task because the fans are waiting for the decision and hopefully the decision will be for Harry to stay because if you want to win trophies then you need to keep the best players and invest in other players."
