Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admitted earlier in the season that his side explored the option of signing a new forward during the summer transfer window.

Napoli have recently confirmed that forward Milik is set to leave in January after failing to agree a new contract with the Serie A side.
The Poland international has been a regular scorer since joining from Ajax and Napoli wanted to keep him at the club. Still only 26 years old, Milik would be available on the cheap and could prove to be a useful squad option.

Ex- Manchester United forward also faces an uncertain future at Lyon with his contract up in the summer.
The Dutchman was heavily linked with the move to Barcelona during the summer but the Catalan giants couldn't afford to meet Lyon's asking price. Various reports in France claim Lyon will accept bids as low as £4.5million to avoid losing him for nothing.
Diego Costa

On Tuesday it was reported that Atletico Madrid had agreed to terminate the contract of former Chelsea forward Diego Costa. The Spaniard had fallen out of favour under Diego Simeone and was pushed further down the pecking order after the summer arrival of Luis Suarez from Barcelona.
Atletico agreed to terminate his deal meaning he can join any club for free in 2021.
Mario Mandzukic

Similarly to Costa, former Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic is also without a club after leaving Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail.
Mandzukic was heavily linked with a move to United after his departure from Italy and made just 10 appearances in Qatar before terminating his contract by mutual consent.
