"This guy is absolute gold": Lee McQueen believes Tottenham player will "break all midfield records"

Lee McQueen believes Tottenham's Dele Alli has the chance to "break all midfield records". The 24-year-old has been at the center of criticism for his recent form, with the former MK Dons man scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 25 Premier League appearances last season (per WhoScored). However, during the latest episode of the Last Word on Spurs podcast, McQueen discussed the midfielder's form with Ricky Sacks, Antony Costa and Lucy Jones, sharing his admiration towards the player. He said: “He’s [Alli] 24 years old, he is almost one of our own in that sense. He will break all midfield records. I think this guy is special. Sometimes [he doesn’t] run the game, but I’m telling you now, this guy is absolute gold, and we need to keep him, 100%.”
