Granit Xhaka is reportedly closing in on sealing a move to Roma with Arsenal ready to accept a fee in the region of £17million.
And Gunners are in market for finding a replacement for the Switzerland international.
Wolves star Ruben Neves is said to have been identified as the ideal replacement for Granit Xhaka but, according to The Athletic, Arsenal are interested in Anderlecht’s Belgium Under-21 international Albert Sambi Lokonga.
AC Milan are also reported to have registered an interest in a player who is on Belgium’s standby list for the upcoming European Championships having amassed over 50 league appearances for Anderlecht already.
Voetbal 24 also reported that Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, had recommended Lokonga to his former club.
The Gunners’ record goalscorer recently rejoined Belgium as a coach after ending his managerial spell at Montreal impact for family reasons.
