Thibaut Courtois makes decision over Manchester United transfer

Thibaut Courtois has snubbed a potential move to Manchester United this summer in a swap deal with Real Madrid transfer target David de Gea. Real Madrid have held interest in De Gea for a number of years and the Spanish heavyweights will revive their interest in United’s No. 1 at the end of the season. According to The Sun, talks between Real Madrid and Manchester United resulted in a proposal which would see Courtois offered to United in exchange for De Gea. But it is claimed former Chelsea star Courtois has told Real he is determined to stay at the Bernabeu and if he does leave, he would prefer to sign for Paris Saint-Germain. Courtois’ future remains unclear under the legendary Frenchman and he could be offloaded this summer as Zidane looks to land Spain international De Gea. Courtois made over 150 appearances for Chelsea before joining Real Madrid, helping the Blues win two Premier League titles and the FA Cup.
