"There's no reason to leave". Max Verstappen on Mercedes rumours

Max Verstappen has spoken out on the rumours linking him with a move to Mercedes.

It has been couple of week full of events in Formula One starting with Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari in 2025, then the Christian Horner allegations and also Jos Verstappen meeting with Toto Wolff, which prompted speculations linking Max with a move to the Silver Arrows.

Verstappen kicked off the 2024 year where he left off as he won the Bahrain Grand Prix last Saturday and is looking forward to Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Amid the talks, the three-time World Champion said: "Well, you know, the thing is, I don't think anybody would have noticed or seen that Lewis would move to Ferrari. And in my life, and it doesn't matter, that's not related to F1 or whatever, is it? It's just life in general. You never know what's going on or what's coming at you or what's going on around you or what might influence you."

"So you can never 100% say that's the way it's going to be. And I approach my life like that, but I don't think about it too much either.

"I'm very relaxed. Like I said, I'm very happy in the team. So I'm happy in the team, the performance is there, there's no reason to leave."
