Lewis Hamilton has spoken out on the recent rumors linking Max Verstappen with a move to Mercedes. Hamilton is set to join Ferrari in 2025 and his seat at Silver Arrows will become vacant.
In the past few days, there have been talks linking Verstappen with Mercedes. The rumours started after the three-time World Champion's father Jos Verstappen was seen talking with Toto Wolff.
As the teams are preparing for Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was asked about the speculations of Verstappen taking his seat at Mercedes.
“My move has shown anything is possible. There's going to be a really interesting next six months or so," said Hamilton.
“I don't have an extra scoop. I'm sure Max is on the list. But I couldn't see why he'd leave a car that is that good.”
Saudi Arabian Grand Prix takes place on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
