Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva will take a huge wage cut to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League, according to the Telegraph. Everton are interested in signing the player.
The 35-year-old will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after the veteran centre-back was released by the club. He is likely to negotiate an incentivised deal.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a huge admirer of the 35-year-old Brazilian. The duo worked together when Ancelotti was PSG manager between 2011 and 2013.
Thiago’s wages of £1.3 million a month are unlikely to be matched given his age but he has made it clear he could listen to offers well less than the £100,000-a-week.
Silva has won seven Ligue 1 titles in his eight seasons at PSG after joining the club from AC Milan in 2012.
