The Sun: Manchester City prepared to sell £100k-a-week star to accommodate new signing

The Sun reports, Manchester City are considering to sign Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer and they are prepared to sell John Stones to make a room for the new signing. Stones joined Manchester City from Everton in 2016 and currently earns £100,000-a-week in wages. He spent a brilliant couple of seasons at Etihad, however, his injury struggles affected his performances. Stones made just 12 Premier League appearances in 2019/20. The fact that they did not replace former captain and club legend Vincent Kompany has come back to torment Pep Guardiola’s team on a number of occasions. It is clear that Manchester City need reinforcements at the back. Source: The Sun
