Gareth Bale is being linked with a move from La Liga side Real Madrid. Amid the links, Tottenham and Manchester United have shown an interest in signing the Madrid star.
While United have also shown an interest, Spurs are in the driving seat for a deal. Bale played for Tottenham from 2007 to 2013 before making a move to Real Madrid.
So what number could the 31-year-old take at Spurs if he makes his return. His current number (11) at Real Madrid, is currently occupied by Erik Lamela.
Bale has worn No. 11 at Spurs as well during the 2012/13 season. Before changing to No.11, the 31-year-old's number at Premier League side was No.3 and in the first season at Tottenham, Bale wore number 16.
No.3 could be an option for Gareth Bale as it belonged to Danny Rose, however he is on his way to join Serie A side Genoa. No.9 could also be an option for Real Madrid star as the number was last worn by Vincent Janssen in 2019.
No. 13 is currently vacant after Michel Vorm's exit, however, this number is usually worn by back-up goalkeepers. No.14 has also become available after Georges-Kevin Nkoudou's exit.
No.16 is also currently available after Kyle Walker-Peters joined Southampton.
