The seven players Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool could be without for West Ham clash

Liverpool will host West Ham at Anfield on Saturday. David Moyes' side have gone four matches unbeaten to confound pre-season predictions that they will struggle this season. That includes impressive draws with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, who they were 3-0 down against. Yet Liverpool represents a fresh challenge for West Ham, but this will be no full-strength Reds side. Jurgen Klopp set to be without six key players. Virgil van Dijk's high-profile knee injury will keep him out of the game against West Ham on Saturday. Another senior centre-back, Joel Matip, continues to be hampered by a leg problem. Midfielder Fabinho had dropped into defence to cover for the duo's absences and had been performing well but he limped off in Tuesday's Champions League victory over Midtjylland with a hamstring injury. It means Klopp likely has just one senior centre-back to call-upon to face West Ham in the shape of Joe Gomez. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the German admitted he was unsure whether Fabinho or Matip will be available. “I don’t know,” he said. “We have to see. That’s how it is. If it were the last game of the season then I think we could make one or the other fit for the game. “But we play again three days later and we need players. The players who are now injured, we cannot use them on the first day of being not injured any more. They need a proper build-up for the rest of the season. “We are trying to juggle all the time between the fit players when they can play, and when we can use the others. We are trying everything to make anybody as fit as possible.” Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita and Kostas Tsimikas also missed the Champions League win, whilst Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continues to recover from a long-term knee problem.
