A teen with cancer meets LeBron James, with his dream come true

Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James has met the club's 17-year-old fan Corey Groves, who is battling an aggressive form of cancer. According to CNN network partner CTV, Groves was diagnosed with stage four sarcoma cancer about six months ago. He has gone through 12 rounds of chemotherapy. The guy has been told to have less than a year to live, as this type of cancer has a low survival rate. Earlier this year, Groves wished to meet LeBron James and shake his hand. He said in a video posted on the Trillium Health Partners Twitter account: "Everyone wants something more than a handshake. But a handshake is like a friendship between someone. And, you know, I have everything I want, so I can't complain. A handshake would just be the best thing." ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that the NBA professional met with the Canadian guy at Lakers' pregame walk-through on Christmas Day when the club was playing against LA Clippers. Groves wrote in an Instagram post showing him with James. "I got my wish. So thankful to everyone that helped me make this happen."
